GIVE A BROOD A HOME!

Very soon, our feathered friends will be returning to our shores ready to nest. Sadly though, very often our winter home improvements mean that we’ve unknowingly blocked up the holes, nooks and crannies that these little birds once called home. Feeling guilty? Well there’s still time to make amends, because from 14-21st February it’s National Nest Box Week, and this year they are focusing on finding homes for the 100,000 pairs of swifts expected to return this spring from Africa. If you’re feeling crafty, the British Trust for Ornithology have instructions on their website for how you can make your very own bird box.
