Inside Jordans
Feel Good Be Happy
Valentines Day Thoughts

Call me old fashioned but I prefer to get a little bit creative on Valentines Day rather than rely on predictable chocolates or meals in busy restaurants. So this year I am going to make a batch of 'I Love You Cookies' and a homemade card. Here are a few other little ideas you could try if you are stuck for what to do to make your loved one feel extra special;
* Make a photo album of the past year, all your holidays, nights out, birthdays in one place.
* Go for a romantic walk, preferably with a cosy cafe or pub at the end of it where you can snuggle up and get warm after facing the elements.
* Treat yourself and have breakfast in bed, preferably with a bowl of your favourite Jordans cereal to hand.
* Grow your own flowers, this might require some forward planning but early bulbs like crocuses and even some daffodils might be out by February 14th.
* Buy a rose for your garden, better than a bunch as they will last for years to come.
* Dust off Twister and have a good laugh at each other's expense.
Here's a little taste of what we're about...

Valentine's Day is a day for each other, and, as I keep telling my teen kids, the gift of time is far more precious and well-received than a quick trip to the shop. My daughter is out that night and has told her (older) brother to go out and stay out (!) as well, so we can have a night in without the hoard of teens that generally descend on the house. Our plan for the night - home-cooked meal (the kitchen is my playground), bottle of wine and Scrabble (other half has a dodgy back so a game of Twister would end with Deep Heat massage and not romantic essential oils!). I can't wait, no driving, no rush, no stress - perfect
Bake a big cookie in the shape of a folding Valentine card and colour it in, using food colourings and "hunderds and thousands". I think edible card would be fun and a lovely surprise.
