Inside Jordans
Feel Good Be Happy
End of the plinth
Posted by Rachel Marston 14 Oct 2009 2:15pm
One hundred days after the first person took their place on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square, Antony Gormley's 'One and Other' art project has come to an end. 35,000 people applied to have an hour long slot on the plinth so they could express thier views on a subject close to their heart. So from pole dancing to protesting, 2400 people took their place on the plinth to express thier views. Our favourite was Shirley Bee. She dressed as a bumblebee to attract attention to the fact that bee numbers are still declining, throwing frusli bars into the crowd at the same time. Well done one and all.
