Top things to do in October include; taking a deep breath of autumn air, kicking piles of leaves, loving the russet colours and taking a bite of the bumper British apple crop. A summer full of rain might have left many farmers in despair but anyone growing apples is likely to be very happy. Apples have been genetically traced to originate from the area between China and Kazakhstan and apples have made such an impact in the area that the name of the Kazakh capital, Almaty, means "rich with apple". There were once thousands of varieties of apples grown in the UK, but few now reach our supermarket shelves. Apple day on the 21st October celebrates our favourite fruit, click here to find apple events near you. If you like apples then you are bound to love our brand new Fruity Fibre muesli, it's a delicious blend of succulent apple and apricot pieces, crisp cereal flakes, crunchy Brazil nuts, dig in.
If you like apples and are partial to cake you will love our Apple and muesli crumble cake, click here to give it a try>>

I adore apples and the cakes you can make with them, you can't beat apple crumble coated in hot, sweet custard. Your recipe will really come in handy for the coming winter months when the old cockles could do with a bit of warm dessert! Your museli and other recipes are declicious, keep up the good work!
I'm a great lover of both apple and rhubarb crumble. Christine's idea of mixing some Jordan's Muesli with the crumble topping is a lovely idea which i'll defintely try. I have a big old cooking apple tree in my garden which never fails to produce a bumper crop, not only does it supply me with plenty of fruit for pies & chutneys, it also feeds the blackbirds and woodpigeons, my neighbours and their animals too. Its really free food
Very informative, great guide to apple days. I shall take my family to apple events taking place within easy reach for us ( we live in South London) to celebrate our favourite fruit and educate ourselves on numerous varieties and their uses. What a great day to spent Sundays at this time of the year!
A great way to use up apples and have a lovely dessert at the same time is to make an apple crumble and add some of Jordan's muesli mix to the crumble topping. Yummy!
I just love British apples in the autumn, but so many varieties seem to be dying out. Fruity Fibre muesli is great, and makes me feel great on those cold, misty autumn mornings. A great start to the day that keeps me going until lunchtime.
