Pick of the Pumpkin Crop
Posted by Jordans Cereals 14 Oct 2008 11:36am
While carving my pumpkin I noticed that the seeds are very different from the ones we use in our mueslis. The seeds I was scraping out were white whereas we use large, dark bottle green pumpkin seeds. So I went to our Head of Taste, Kirsten to find out why we chose these types of seeds and she said. “The seeds we use have a really nutty taste and are really crunchy which gives you a lovely crisp bite when you tuck into a bowl of our muesli.” So now you know, only the pick of the pumpkin seed crop will do.

We'll definately be trying the apple and muesli cake with our apples from our apple tree - will let you know how it tastes!!
Funny, I don't like eating pumpkin flesh in any form, but I love the type of seeds used in your muesli.
Your muesli seems to me to be the best and I've tried many different makes in the past. As for pumpkin seeds, I love them and always include them, along with sunflower seeds and linseed and sesame each time I make bread.
I love pumpkin seeds and not only enjoy them in my morning Jordans' muesli but as a snack during the day. Pumpkin seeds are a good way to combat cystitis and water retention and contain Omega 3 & 6 which are needed for hormone balance.
