Inside Jordans
Being Nature Friendly
2010 International Year of Biodiversity

Last night I went along to the launch of the 2010 International Year of Biodiversity at the Natural History Muesum. It was quite a do, with plenty of spotlights on politicians as well as the dinosaur in the main hall. The initiative has been set up by the UN who have declared that next year should be a celebration of life on earth. The truth is that the number of species dying out on the planet is continuing at a frightening and unsustainable rate and the hope is that making people aware of this will help to stem the losses. I was there on behalf of Jordans because the Conservation Grade™ farming system Bill set up in the 1980's is one of the best models for businesses to prevent biodiversity loss.
I hope this initiative works though I am sure we were talking about thye deforestation of the Amazon when I was five and it seems little has changed. Well done to all our nature friendly farmers however, because they really are making a difference.
Here's a little taste of what we're about...
