Being Nature Friendly
Relieve 'Environmental Stress' to help bees

If you get involved in our Big Buzz campaign you will easily be able to do your bit to help save bees. It seems 'Environmental Stress' is having a negative effect on their numbers. We have put 'Environmental Stress' down to a combination of sterile monocultures caused by intensive farming, habitat fragmentation and varying climate meaning bees are more vaunerable to pests and diseases. Fundamentally bees need the right habitats so they can thrive, and that means we need to provide them with more flowers. So through The Big Buzz we are hoping to give away at least 30,000 Lavender and Rosemary plants, aiming to increase the number of bee-friendly plants across the UK. We are also calling on The Highways Agency and local authorities to make more bee-friendly use of municiple land. Just imagine motorway verges across the UK blooming with wildflowers, planted to give pollinators like bees and butterflies plenty of food.
